 Hello, I hope you're doing well. I goofed and realized that I meant to create a post when I got back from my trip last October and that ended up not happening, oops. ^_^; I apologies about that. I'm really missing the fun side of the internet so I'm hoping to make a better habit of being here. 

So my life updates.

My gaming group is wrapping up Aliens and we've started a new game called Pirate Borg. It's a post apocalyptic pirate game and we've already had our first battle which was fighting a ghost ship in a storm. Most pirate thing to happen. Lol! I'm playing a skeleton buccaneer that's a rumored sorceress and stole a pirate ship. She's caring around a noose and I have a feeling there's a connection between that and the ship incident. 

I'm thinking about creating a NeoCities website. I'm feeling like I might be rusty with my HTML skills, but after browsing the websites I got the creative bug to give it a shot. I found a lot of amazing art and learned important stuff on places like Tiktok, but I miss the old internet when it was people building websites because it was fun and creative. I remember browsing a lot of artist and character shrines and it was fun seeing all of the unique layouts. Also after the Tiktok almost getting banned, I've been thinking a lot about how you never know when a social media site could potently get shut down. I would like to have a cozy corner of the internet where I share art and silly cat photos. 

I started getting back into manga reading by reading a spooky story called "A Girl From the Other side." Love how the artwork has the dark sketchy vibe and the ending of both volumes made me go "NO! I want to know what happens next!" XD I can't wait to get volume 3 to find out what happens next.

 Hello everyone! I'm not on my laptop often so I'm very slow of at making blog updates. Here's some life updates.

~ (TW for talking about ear piercing fails)

Remember when I got my ears pierced on my Birthday, even though I let them heal a bit longer then recommended, it still ended up on being a fell. I was visiting my sister and had trouble removing them and when I was able to remove them, I couldn't put the earring in my right ear. I waited till I got home to talk to the women who pierced my ears in Clare's and it seemed like the store was always closed when I would go into the store. by the time I got to the store a different lady was working and she tried to put some earrings in and told me they had closed. I'm waiting for a bit to make sure they are healed but I plan on going to a tattoo place next time. ^_^; 

~ I bought an old school camera because I'm tired of constantly running out of storage space. It's really fun to work with taking photos. I really want to start making videos in the future. 

~ I recently joined a couple of local communities. I"m a member of an art center and participate in a weekly open studio and a local gaming shop where I can play RPG games. It's nice to be able to do creative things and make friends with people of similar interested. 

~I also have a new kitten named Charlie. I was not expecting to get a blessing from the cat distribution system, but I'm happy that happened. He's really friendly cat. 

 

 

The elf ear mold that I ordered from Etsy for my doll project got canceled. Thankfully they refunded the money, so I’ll have to come up with a new an In order to make the elf ears. I’ll sketch out a diagram and shape ears based off of the drawing this time. 

I use to would draw a lot of space girls, but stopped for a while when I was trying to focus on art that would sell. Since I started questioning having an art career and decided to go back into figuring out what I enjoyed about drawing.

I went back to exploring subjects that make me happy and wanted to get into drawing in the first place. For the longest time, I was a huge fan of traditional animated films. I remember wanting to get into the animation industry when I was little but then, the animation industry dramatically changed when 3D animation became popular. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate 3D animation as an art more than I did then, but I know that working with that method of art isn’t my strongest point since I was more focused on drawing. Turned out to be for the better because art schools are crazy expensive, it’s a thought industry to get in, plus, I’m learning most studio jobs are temporary. An artist works on a project and then has to move on to the next

Later I started getting more obsessed with space aesthetics and started incorporated it into my art.

I was thinking about how much fun I had with the concept so I decided to revisit the style. I was Studying some of the animated scenes from Disney’s movie Enchanted because I wanted to give the drawing a soft animated feel. I added a brownish color in the line art to soften it a bit. I couldn’t decided which lighting I liked the best so I decided to include both drawings. 

I had the itch to create a new blog and decided to go for it. My goal is to focus more on regular blogging and spend less time on the popular social media apps that are way too stressful as of right now, so side eyeing Instagram. Ha ha ha. So what are the current things going on in my life so far.

• Since fall of last year, I have been part of a Dungons And Dragons game. It's been a lot of fun creating a character and going on adventures with friends. I'm playing as a drow elf named Inara. I still need to work on her backstory,

• I saw the Dune Part Two in the theater this week. I rented the first movie at the library so I could watch it before watching the sequel in the theater. I have to say I'm blown away by how amazing the movie was! The story in both moves at a slow pace and I feel like it was a wise choice to approach the story because I remember seeing the 80s movie a few years ago and felt like the story was missing parts until I watched the unfinished scenes that were edited out. Also, the sand worms were one of my favorite things in the film because they were so FREAKIN HUGE!!!!! I love it when movies have giant monsters that if I saw in real life I would want to nope away from it! XD I also love the dragonfly ships. If I could ride one of those instead of a car I would. The scenes of the planet were also beautifully filmed. I can't wait till part three is released.

• A friend of mine is encouraging me to run a game campaign of Call of Cthulhu. I'm nervous about running a game, but it sounds like it would be fun to try out. I was listening to a podcast where someone was reading Lovecraft's stories to get a feel of what the story would be like. It was soooooo spooky the way the guy would read it, but it was fascinating. I hope I can make my game really spooky, but it will be a challenge since I don't have a spooky voice. Ha ha ha!
